Scotland is a filming location hotspot
Scotland, the paradise for filming location tours!
Some of the most scenic moments in film and TV have been filmed with Scotland as the background. The famous Outlanderseries has been filmed in Scotland and at the time of reading this there will be at least one more season filmed here.
Scotland as a filming location and base was so successful that they even built a full production studio with sound stage in a small town in Scotland. This facility has also been used for other movies including The Avengers.
Braveheart, Fast and Furious, Avengers, Captain America, The 39 Steps, World War Z, Outlander Series, Rob Roy, The Outlaw Kings are to name but a few massive productions that have been filmed using Scotland's cities, scenery and ancient monuments.
